Manny Ramirez smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Jefferson Park Penguins
beat the Caracas Leones by a score of 3 to 1.
Ramirez provided much of the offense. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 18th of the season) in the 6th
inning. Jefferson Park had only 6 hits for the afternoon.
Paul Wilson(2-1) allowed 1 run in 5 innings, and picked up the victory. Wilson
got help from Greg Aquino who was credited with his 4th save. Johan
Santana(7-1) absorbed the loss. Despite the loss, he struckout 9 Jefferson
Park batters in 6 innings.
